Fall Festival: October 14th

JOIN US SATURDAY, OCT. 14th for our annual MOUNTAIN LIFE Fall Festival!

We’ll be celebrating our “Natural Resources of Haywood County” from 12 noon until dark - festivities include an Old-fashionedPig Pickin’ as well as German Brats with special sides, Sidewalk Chalk Drawing, Face Painting & Balloon Artists, HCC's Award-winning Timber Sport Athletes performing with chainsaws, long cross saws, hatchet throwing,Haywood Waterways Small Invertabrates Display, and more.  2-5 pm: HCC 's Wildlife Club Display of Indigenous Pelts & Skulls, along with blow gun demonstrations, Hunter Banks Fly Fishing Demonstration and fly tying, Bluegrass Jam  with Dr. Toby King from 5-8 pm, Local Products from Cold Mtn.Produce Stand, and the BearWaters Pumpkin Carving Benefit Display* (BearWaters hosting annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Hungry & Homeless of Haywood County) *Pumpkins may be picked up at BearWaters beginning Oct. 7th…


BearWaters Pumpkin Carving Benefit Display

BearWaters is hosting an annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Hungry & Homeless of Haywood County.

Pumpkins may be purchased/picked up at BearWaters beginning Oct. 7th, to then be returned (already carved) by Oct. 14th for display at the MOUNTAIN LIFE Fall Festival.  Cash prizes will be awarded in various categories!  Proceeds go to the annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Hungry & Homeless of Haywood County which is put together by BearWaters, the Rotary Club of Canton, Haywood County Pathways Center, Haywood County Department of Social Services, and Long's Chapel United Methodist Church.
